The Zu Ninjaz is a successful rap group consisting of all NJ males who share a profound love for Hip-Hop/Rap music. While the conglomerate has existed for years, all of the members have ten or more years of experience as MC's. As veterans from the days of classic rap music, the Zu Ninjaz remain effectively focused on their savvy 90's style with raw intellectual lyrics reminiscent of the late but they each possess their own rhyming style and unique image, yet together their sounds blend perfectly into one awe-inspiring click.
Unlike a lot of groups, these children of hip-hop got together during the B Boy, break dancing, and graffiti era and transformed over the years into what they are today. The group originated under the Kaotic Clan name, then moved into a more mysterious realm by changing their name to the Ninjaz but with all the changes the loyalty displayed between the original members, (K-Blunt, 5ft. Hyper Sniper, Celo, Hooks & Traps, D.L the Scorpion Don, X, Knucles, Weggie, and baby ninjaz Rambo & Raw) was what attracted them to rap Legend ODB in the early 1990’s.
Ol' Dirty Bastard (or ODB), was one of the founding members of the Wu-Tang Clan, that first rose to mainstream prominence with their 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). After establishing the Wu-Tang Clan, Ol' Dirty Bastard went on to pursue a successful solo career and contributed as a rapper/producer for the Fugees. During his professional success he branded a series of Wu-Tang affiliate groups one being the Ninjaz. ODB was often noted for his trademark microphone techniques and his "profane, free-associative rhymes delivered in a distinctive half-rapped, half-sung style". Ninjaz K-Blunt, 5 Foot Sniper, Black Lantern, Celo, D.L., Hook Ninja, Ninja Scroll, Popa Chief, Rambo, Raw, and Shaheed blended their brands together with the Wu-Tang legend and thus ODB crowned his new beloved group the Zu Ninjaz.
The Zu Ninjaz toured the world with Ol' Dirty Bastard, Buddah Monk, and Brooklyn Zu and has also opened for the Wu-Tang Clan. While the Zu Ninjaz was working on their debut album since the Ninja and Zu marriage, ODB suddenly passed away on November 13, 2004. The “Now Justice” album began being recorded in 1998 and was released in 2005 by Chambermusik. The album was produced by Buddha Monk, Kamakaze Productions & about 50% done by Ninja Scroll. This released was one of CM's Bestsellers and is often compared to the “36 Chambers” album.
When the Brooklyn Zu was recording their “Chamber #9 Verse 32” album, the Ninjaz got together with them in Orlando, FL and did an ODB tribute song together compiled of their favorite verses that he gave to the world. This emotional session was each group’s way of honouring the musical legacy he left behind for them, but also something his fans across the world could enjoy. The Video that was released on YouTube had never before seen footage of the late ODB.
To date, the Zu Ninjaz a strategically managed act with an impressive history and a wealth of experience. As their following grows, so does the group's ability to please large audiences. Thematic originality, unique distinctiveness, and notable professionalism have for years existed as the tools and assets of this talented group. With the paramount of their respective abilities, there is no question about the marketability of the Zu Ninjaz to the traditional rap target audience and beyond.
In 2013, the trimmed down Zu Ninjaz performed at the “Rock The Bells” NY launch party which was streamed live by Gorilla Union & Hot 97. This fresh start was used to propel them forward to a series of video releases including  ”Demi Godz”  & the “Elementz/Sober Kontroller” double video. The Zu Ninjaz has no plans of slowing down.  Right at the top of the year the “You’ve Been Warned” video released January 7th, 2014 via YouTube.  More singles from her debut album “From The Dirt Dog Chamber” is expected to be released during the summer of 2014.
